Bigfoot's Little Doughnuts, Lego Store Free Play and Flying Standby

I just wanted to share a few entries from my Because Moments Matter Journal for last week. I got to visit my daughter and her family in Alabama so here are a few of our moments.

There is a little Lego Store (I think it's called Bricks & Mini Figs but not totally sure) where every Thursday they have free play time for kids, these two were so busy and so happy!

While we were playing with Legos, I noticed a sign in the same strip mall that said "doughnuts" so of course I wanted to go over there when we were done. But this was no ordinary doughnut shop, it is "Bigfoot's Little Doughnuts" and you get a dish of a doze little doughnuts hot and covered with the most amazing toppings! They were so good and the store had a lot of fun Bigfoot merch!

Many of you know my husband works for an airline and I fly standby. On this trip to Alabama I ended up getting stuck in Jacksonville and had a bit of an emotional meltdown because the situation just kept getting worse and worse, ugh the joys of traveling standby.

I have learned that every moment in my life matters because I matter. Every moment in your life matters. You matter. So write down a few things each day and take a picture or screenshot of something from your day — even the magically mundane moments.

If you’d like to use my 2026 Because Moments Matter Journal to help you keep those memories organized it is available on Amazon.

And if you want to take those moments to the next level and scrapbook them using my Moments Matter Grid, see my Monthly Moments Matter Scrapbooking for all the details and templates.
