Ribbon Stash Busting Card

Are you ready for some ribbon stash busting?  I've decided to make this a month long challenge with a prize drawing at the end.  Share your version of this card sketch in my Facebook Group Because Cute Matters to get your name in the November Stash Busting Challenge drawing!  If you're a scrapbooker, don't worry, I'll have a ribbon stash busting layout sketch and sample next Friday and you will get to share your version of that layout to get your name in the drawing.

To make this card, follow the measurements below.  I got my brown, red, orange and yellow ribbons out and pulled out the ones that I thought would look together.  I used Paprika ink to stamp the sentiment from the Thankful Autumn Stamp set and used Paprika Cardstock for the card base.  I cut each ribbon at 4.5" and layed them out together to determine which order I wanted them in.  You can see that the ribbon length gets shorter the closer you get to the right hand side of the card.  Then get your Glue Dots out (can you believe in the past we would have been using a hot glue gun!?!) and start adhering your ribbon.  I had so much fun creating this card, I just happened to have some cute ribbons with autumn/grateful words on them that were perfect and so cute!  The sketch has the tied ribbon with a bow around the whole card front, but I ended up doing it just around the White Daisy cardstock.

I created a really basic Cricut Design Space cutting file if you would like to use that for cutting, the link is below.  If you would like more ribbon stash busting ideas, follow me on Pinterest (Because Cute Matters with Renae McBarron) and check out the new Stash Busting board I created on Pinterest (and if you really want to go down a Pinterest rabbit hole check out my Cardmaking board Ribbon on Cards section and my Scrapbooking board Embellish - Ribbon).
